Social is Dying, Quickly
I think we're closer to the actual Dead Internet Theory than we think.
Probably in the next 2-3 years, with the continued rise of AI agents creating content, where most social media is just AI-generated. Even if it comes from actual people, it's still just AI-generated. As a content consumer, you start to ignore that content, right? So now there's no more real interest because you realize that everything is just AI-generated.
Maybe you have another AI service that summarizes what's going on, and there's no real connection. The only real connections start to come from actual smaller private groups or actual clubs/channels where information is coming from a verified source that you are actually interested in.
Social as a place to connect seems like it's going to really die and go away in the next two to three years, in as much where there are not so many real people anymore. It's just bots communicating with bots.
